While I am enjoying a bit of the gloomy days, I still look forward to the days where the sun will be out and about until the end of the day. I find it hard at times to plan around the weather, especially if Im planning on shooting a nice outfit, because it does interfere with your mood and your skins sensitivity (I’m talking goosebumps on a cold day while wearing nothing but a cute shirt and jeans). But, I must say that I won’t be minding that feeling anymore because I have found the perfect (and affordable!) skirt to go with anything you decide to wear!
This skirt has that velvety feeling and does keep your upper thighs warm. I have only recently paired it with sneakers and I must say its the greatest feeling ever when you wear something super comfy and at the same time it does not look like you just stepped out of the house not knowing how to match your outfit (thats me at times). So, I will definitely keep on experimenting with it and keep bringing you loves some more ideas!
Hi there! I am so excited and happy to announce that I am collaborating with a great fellow fashion mom blogger friend of mine, Jessica Lares (find her on Instagram @jesla_styles). Since mom life can be hard at times, having the time to pick out an outfit each day can be even more stressful. So, I decided to collaborate with Jessica and I asked her to create a whole look dedicated specifically to all the moms out there in order to facilitate the chore of getting dressed. #MomUniform is a real thing and we are here to help solve and inspire the task of getting dressed because all moms deserve to look good no matter how tired we may be 🙂
I hope you enjoy our #momuniform looks!
LOOK #1 Twisted Touch
One thing as mom I don’t have time or the patience for is hair styling. Besides the occasional bun/braid, I usually keep it pretty simple with my semi perfected routine of loose waves which takes me about 15 min, and it usually last me about 3 days with dry shampoo and a touch up.
So I was excited when Karen from Stylish city mom reached out to collab and share our #momstyle. For this post we are focusing around a hairstyle to bring our look to another level. I’m gonna keep it really simple cuz I have 0 hair styling ability. After browsing for some hair inspo and finding styles way beyond my ability I decided to take my classic pony and add a twist-literally.
I really wanted to add a fun hair accessory so I picked this one up at Anthropologie (and sharing a few others you will love below.) This outfit is really all the basics for the #momuniform consisting of high waisted jeans, tee shirt and everyday boots. But I added this pretty pink long cardi and floral bag for some spring vibes.

LOOK #2SPICE THINGS UP WITH A TRENCH AND A PONY TAIL BRAID
I love to always look stylish, but there will always be days where I much rather prefer to be in my pajamas and just not go out at all. But I know that if I allow myself to fall into that bad habit, it’ll eventually affect my mood and behavior. So to make it all much easier, I have noticed how easily a trench coat can make a HUGE difference in my appearance. A simple t-shirt with jeans and flats is all you need to finish the look. Easy right?! And for those days where touching up your hair is a no no, try doing a braided pony tail. It works super well and you will be out the door in no time! Try it and you will be hooked on wearing it non stop.
New Years Eve is here and I’m so excited to start fresh! I don’t know about you but I’m so eager to get 2018 rollin through and accomplishing 3 tasks I have set my mind to. Over the past years I have noticed how frustrating it would be for me to welcome the new year, especially during the week of my birthday because I would turn a year older and notice how I had not managed to meet my personal goals, and to top it off the new year was approaching and I had nothing to show for.
Of course being young means making a TON of mistakes, but I plan on making this year my last. So, the question is, what 3 things do I plan on doing different this 2018?
I may not always wear joggers or sweats, but since the weather has been cooling down I haven’t really felt like wearing my jeans each time I go out for quick errands. So of course I had to go to SHEIN.com
They have the most affordable and cute clothing anyone could ever ask for. It fits my budget, keeps me happy, and makes me stay stylish. I was completely in love with the jacket and jogging pants I found. They make me feel very comfy and flexible at the same time, which usually is pretty tough for me to find items that make me feel at ease, so this was definitely a win win for me!
While I love to be in plain ol t-shirts, there is just no escaping my love for casual chicness. I love that the weather is finally getting some sense into itself and longs levees are sounding super perfect!
Pairing pajama shirts with classic blue jeans and colorful heels, or sneakers, are what brings my creativeness out. Who doesn’t like to look good and feel creative at the same time 🙂 Its the perfect shirt for casual outings in the city. Just in time for thanksgiving.
You might have guessed the title had something to do with Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas (which is my favorite movie) and it has a significance. You see we are always caught up with trends, who wore it best, who has the best style, … yadi yada, but the true meaning I find in fashion is the colorful life you can have by playing with different vibrant textiles.
This particular set blew my socks off when I was shopping at Target. It instantly gave me that life I needed inside me. It not only goes well together, but it makes you feel at your best by wearing it. Forget fashion, I want to be wearing what makes me feel me again and again. Don’t you?
So much has been going on these past couple of days. With Mexico being hit with a horrible earthquake on Tuesday, I can not help but to feel deeply and immensely sad. Not because my family is from there but because I feel for those who have lost everything, lost their families, lost their loved ones, be it animals, neighbors, colleagues, etc. No one was ready for this tragedy, and actually no one ever is.
In these moments all I can think of is of the ways I can help. Donating and praying is what everyone needs at this moment, even if its a little bit. Fashion can wait. Its what you feel in your heart that matters the most. Sure the world and life goes on, but we can not ignore those who are in need. For now, positive thoughts and prayers are what I will be doing. With a smile on my face because I know Mexico will get back up, not forgetting, but pushing forward. Fashion goes on no matter what, but Im deciding to pause and be silent. The well being of others is far more important.
