The Sporty Chic Look

I may not always wear joggers or sweats, but since the weather has been cooling down I haven’t really felt like wearing my jeans each time I go out for quick errands. So of course I had to go to

They have the most affordable and cute clothing anyone could ever ask for. It fits my budget, keeps me happy, and makes me stay stylish. I was completely in love with the jacket and jogging pants I found. They make me feel very comfy and flexible at the same time, which usually is pretty tough for me to find items that make me feel at ease, so this was definitely a win win for me!

A Moment Of Fashion Silence

So much has been going on these past couple of days. With Mexico being hit with a horrible earthquake on Tuesday, I can not help but to feel deeply and immensely sad. Not because my family is from there but because I feel for those who have lost everything, lost their families, lost their loved ones, be it animals, neighbors, colleagues, etc. No one was ready for this tragedy, and actually no one ever is.

In these moments all I can think of is of the ways I can help. Donating and praying is what everyone needs at this moment, even if its a little bit. Fashion can wait. Its what you feel in your heart that matters the most. Sure the world and life goes on, but we can not ignore those who are in need. For now, positive thoughts and prayers are what I will be doing. With a smile on my face because I know Mexico will get back up, not forgetting, but pushing forward. Fashion goes on no matter what, but Im deciding to pause and be silent. The well being of others is far more important.

Turning Dresses into Shirts

Processed with VSCO with e3 preset

Monday calls for a new wardrobe check. My closet has not been getting any updates recently so a girls gotta so what a girls gotta do lol. That means getting super creative, which is the beauty of fashion. Certain dresses that are not so lengthy are a big plus in my book because it means they can double as tank tops. And with the hot weather staying until September, finding ways to reuse my clothes is on my list. Adding high heels is the glam finishing touch.

My Experience In South Lake Tahoe

The past week was a pretty hectic week, mostly for me since I struggle with wardrobe problems and trying to plan lol, and at the same time it was an exciting adrenaline! My husband and I had been wanting to go somewhere not too far out from California to end the summer, and the first thing on our minds was Lake Tahoe.

Both my husband and I have never been to Lake Tahoe and we found it really fascinating (those instagram pictures really sold us!) how beautiful and serene it looks up there.

The road trip was definitely a long one ( 9 hours 😀 ) but since we had great company with us, we were not bored one single minute 🙂

As soon as we touched down, we decided to go to our hotel and take a much needed nap. After wards we decided to just spend the rest of the evening walking around town and look for some nice souvenirs.  Everything was going very well…as far as we saw.

The next day we got up bright and early to go on our way towards Incline Village to see the famous Sand Harbor beach. Im telling you those pictures on Instagram really look dreamy …(sigh).

When we arrived we noticed the beach was closed due to a high amount of people wanting to get in. So we waited until it reopened. While we waited we decided to go for some snacks. Let me tell you that there is no customer service at all! The people over there talk to one as they please, and the are definitely not polite. Once the park reopened, we decided to head on back. Along the way we thought we had seen the entrance, and we went in. To our surprise, when we pulled over we were not greeted well by a lady who happened to work there. It took us by surprise the way she was speaking (which was in a very rude way!) that we felt very unwelcome and unwanted.

We decided to let it go and just enjoy our time at the beach.Let me just say that the water is so amazing and beautiful! I loved the way it changes colors from light to light aqua blue. Its definitely worth visiting.  While on the beach, we noticed plenty of people starring at us. It was a very strange feeling, but again we payed no attention to it. Then when we least expected it, a thunderstorm came along. We were forced to exit. The sad part is that I was only able to capture a few images of the beauty of Sand Harbor.

When returning to our hotel, we saw a nice Thai restaurant and of course we decided to pull over. We made our way in and were greeted in a welcoming way. The only issue was that once we were seated, the people next to us decided that they did not want to be near us. And the ones surrounding us just starred. It was a very uncomfortable situation that we experienced but we were so glad to finally be heading home the next day.

Don’t get me wrong, Lake Tahoe is extremely beautiful. The nature is so welcoming and the weather as well, but the people are not so much.

It was indeed a very great experience for all of us, and with this we learned that we are not going back any time soon and that “home sweet home” will forever be our Long Beach, California.

I still don’t understand why we can’t all treat each other with respect?

Have you ever been to South Lake Tahoe? If so, was your experience the same? I would love to know 🙂

How To Be Street Stylish

Having social media is a blessing now days. I say its a blessing because we can get inspiration by watching someones youtube video, or in my case, instagram. Street style has always captured my attention, especially the pictures that involve crossing the street. I find it to be my obsession and since I am on instagram, I decided to give it a try for myself.

My attempt to take a stylish picture while crossing the street at the same time was a very interesting experience.

For starters: A) Don’t try this on your own

B) Make sure you have a great outfit on (I’m talking flowy dresses, or something flared)

C) HEELS HEELS HEELS (the key to a great street style photo)

D) Take it on a not so busy street- Safety first 😀

And lastly, believe you are street style!

I for sure almost fell twice, BUT i can say that its the most thrilling and spontaneous thing you can do! It gives you that confidence that makes you say “yeah I got this!”

A Chic Way To Wear Your Romper

Hello loves! I can not believe how fast time flies, it feels like if this weekend is going to be the 4th of July, but it already is crossed out and we are moving towards the rest of the month! One of the (many) reasons I love summer is due to off the shoulder tops, crop tops, and rompers.

Wearing rompers is the most practical and easiest way to get dressed. I know they have saved me a ton when having those “I don’t have anything to wear” moments, and at the same time they can be turned into a #streetstyle picture snapped right off the street by a photographer when worn with different tops. Bell sleeves are so on trend right now and by adding it to a romper, it goes from a 10 to 100! I can’t explain how many compliments I received by the people that would pass by. Its the easiest trick to spice up your wardrobe. What do you think?

Romantic Summer Dress

After having the stomach flu all last week (I’ve survived!) let me say I am so happy to be back on track. It feels great getting some new content shot and done. But, one thing I am for sure happy about is the fact that summer is finally here! I am a big sucker for beaches, swimsuits, and of course long romantic summer nights.

I have noticed many bloggers posting about their go-to swimsuits that I decided to post my go-to romantic summer dress. It is no surprise that in summer white is a big deal, (sunburns are no fun) which helps keep us cool, but at times it can get boring wearing all white. Dresses for summer usually call for flowers and prints, but this off-the-shoulder dress not only does it have polka dots, it has an A line cut off meaning we can show our legs some love as well!

Let me know what you think of this dress 🙂
